What are Brazil Rails?

The Brazil Rails tab documents Brazil’s national payment and regulatory systems, and the Lerian native messaging that reaches each one.

Brazil Rails is the home of the rails. A rail is a national system that moves money or regulatory data under a defined messaging contract. The Central Bank of Brazil (BACEN) operates these systems, or market infrastructures operate them under its supervision. You keep ownership of your ledger, your data, and your business logic.

Two ways to connect

Native messaging is a Lerian-owned connection straight to BACEN and to the market infrastructures under its supervision. A partner interface reaches the same rail through a connectivity provider’s systems. Pix Lerian v1.0.0 is an application-plugin integration/testing lane with the mock provider adapter; its native SPI connector is not available for use in this release.
