Narya is a coding agent written in Go. You can reshape it through extensions that are Go packages compiled into the binary, rather than scripts loaded at startup.

How it works

Narya uses a long-running host to own session state and thin clients to interact with it. By default, the host and clients communicate through a local Unix socket, so session data stays on the developer’s machine. The current development branch includes an inline terminal client, a full-screen client started with narya --tui, and a one-shot command started with narya -p.

Integrations and extensions

Public integrations use Narya’s generated HTTP contract over the host’s local Unix socket. You can use that contract from any language to build an out-of-process integration. Compiled Go extensions are a Lerian-internal build mechanism. Adding one rebuilds the binary; if two internal extensions claim the same replaceable component, Narya reports the conflict during the build instead of resolving it while a session is running.

Narya is documented here as a Developer Tool, separate from Lerian’s core banking platform. Its behavior and public availability can change before general availability.
